Things to do in Hilton Head

Harbor Town Marina Lighthouse

Practically the mascot of Hilton Head, the Harbor Town Marina lighthouse is always a popular first stop for tourists. With an island so lovely and scenic, those who come here immediately want to take it all in, and while this beautiful vantage point doesn’t really function as a lighthouse, it does remain a great way to get a full view of Hilton Head. The surrounding restaurants, shops, and charter boats ensure you’ll have no shortage of Hilton Head Island activities to partake in.

Pau Hana Catamaran Tour

Speaking of charter boats, the Official Catamaran of the Hard Rock Café of Hilton Head, The Pau Hana claims to be the newest and biggest of all the Hilton Head Catamarans. For its size, speed, and friendly staff, this boat is both literally and figuratively making waves all over town. There’s surely no better way to explore the ocean on your Sundance Vacations Hilton Head stay.

Local Festivals

Of course, living in a veritable paradise, the residents of Hilton Head have much to be happy about. It’s therefore not surprising that festivals and parties are commonplace in this neck of the South Carolinian woods. Wingfest, Winefest, Foodfest, The Dove Street Festival of Lights – you name it Hilton Head’s got it. Brimming with parties and blue ocean marinas, a Sundance Vacations Hilton Head trip is perfect for the vacationer who desires to acquiesce to their aquatic yearnings. The island has a little something for everyone — with lots of sailing, seaside dining, and hiking trails and golfing for the sporty types, you’re sure to enjoy all Hilton Head Island activities.

Sundance Vacations Speedway: High Intensity Thrills and Savings!

March 2nd, 2010

Sundance Vacations Speedway

Race fans, come one and all to see the great Sundance Vacations Speedway of the Pocono foothills! This semi-banked asphalt oval provides pure adrenaline and speed, supplying high intensity racing action to enthusiasts all across Pennsylvania! Sundance Vacations has always held an appreciation for Nascar, having sponsored Daytona 500 winner Derrick Cope’s #74 Dodge in the past, and this exciting development is the result of a sponsorship agreement between Mountain Speedway and Sundance Vacations.

Sundance Vacations Speedway History

The track was originally founded as a family amusement park by C.G. Williams in the 1930s. After World War II, as the popularity of stock car racing was on the rise, then-owner Frank Mazzo set out to build a track. While it has seen some name changes over the years, today the Sundance Vacations Speedway stands on the very same spot it was built 50 years ago.

Sundance Vacations and the Community

In addition to making the vacation dreams and desires of families all across the nation come true by providing the best in wholesale travel and discount vacations, Sundance Vacations has done much to give back to the community. To ensure that Pocono residents have a healthy and active race scene, Sundance Vacations encourages racers to come out and test their pedal-pumping mettle on the Sundance Vacations Speedway by offering an additional $5,000 in prize money. Better still, racers can earn even more money through sponsoring – by mentioning the company on their website and sporting their contingency sticker, Sundance will further sweeten the deal for drivers!

Want more reasons to come out to the race track? In addition to satisfying your cravings for sharp turns and high octane intensity, speed junkies who attend the Sundance Vacations Speedway can receive free coupons and savings. In past events, these have included Dominos Pizza, Frito Lay, and Pepsi products.

So start your engines and check out all the Sundance Vacations action! You’re sure to have a good time.

Top 10 Packing Tips For Your Sundance Vacation

February 22nd, 2010

Sundance VacationsBefore you’re off and running on your Sundance Vacations trip, here are some great packing tips to consider. It’s true that packing can be painful to many people as it is an inconvenient task when one is so focused on daydreaming about their upcoming Sundance Vacation; however, with all of the diverse locations that Sundance Vacations offers, there are many factors to consider when preparing for your trip.

Top 10 Sundance Vacations Packing Tips

1. Appropriate Clothes: Don’t always assume that the general climate you are heading to will always be warm or cold. When heading to a beach climate for your Sundance Vacation, swim shorts and t-shirts are a given, but what most people forget is that water can get cold at night. Bring some warmer clothes as well.

2. Travel Documents: This is most important if you are traveling internationally with Sundance Vacations. Remember to bring with you your license, passport, plane ticket, rental car receipt and visa if required.

3. Medicines/Prescription: If you can, ALWAYS take an antibiotic with you, this can be the difference between you spending your Sundance Vacation days in the sun or a hotel bed. Antibiotics will help guard against any unsafe drinking water you may consume.

4. Money: Sundance Vacation goers should always diversify their forms of money. Traveler’s checks, if stolen, can be reimbursed. Credit/debit cards should be brought as most hotels require them for deposit. If you’re traveling out of country with Sundance Vacations, you may have to first authorize out of country access with your bank.

5. Electronics: Most people these days can’t imagine not having their cell phone, iPod or laptop by their side. However, depending on the type of Sundance Vacation, some experiences may be better without them.

6. Appropriate Suitcases: Many airlines have strict rules and additional fees when it comes to suitcase size. When traveling within the U.S., consider the duration of your Sundance Vacation and match that with your suitcase. When traveling internationally, large suitcases are difficult and expensive to bring along.

7. Contact Information: While travelers may prefer to focus on the bright side and air on optimism in preparing for their vacations, one should play it safe and bring along insurance policies and medical contacts, particularly when visiting foreign soil.

8. Valuables: An additional safety measure would be to leave your valuables at home. Misplacing such items on trips is fairly commonplace, and while you may want to look stunning on your Sundance Vacations travels, it’s probably not worth the possible grief.

9. Toiletries: Take a minimum. You can purchase these items just about anywhere these days.

10. Maps: Save yourself some frustration and buy one. Knowing where you are and where you are headed will always save time and can help make your Sundance Vacation a greater experience.

You want to enjoy your vacation – not hate it. When preparing for the trip, don’t be lazy or over-zealous, and you’ll be sure to love your Sundance Vacations experience!
